PENYBONT FC    5     V AFC Llwydcoed   1

Penybont reserves welcomed AFC Llywdcoed to the Kymco Stadium today to try and disturb an unbeaten start by the visitors.

The Llwydcoed players started to cause problems from early doors but after a difficult opening 15 minutes for the hosts they settled and began to pass and move and looked threatening going forward.

Both defences stopped the attacking threats, and then Kristian Evans found himself with an opportunity which he headed straight into the path way of the opposing keeper, the keeper cleared the ball which presented Evan Denscombe with gift he had been working for, Denscombe sweetly placed the ball into the top left of the visitorís net, 1-0 Penybont.

Both sides kept pushing and within 10 minutes of the Penybont lead, and right on top of half time Llwydcoed made an attacking move which presented them with the chance to equalise, 1-1.

Second half

Penybont made a substitution with Matthew Duckfield replacing Owaine Emmanuel due to a back injury. Penybont started the second half well with a number of chances presented to Rafal Pacheloc who just could not find the back of the net. Joshua Jones who worked hard down the right hand side was not going to pass up the chance to put Penybont in the lead and placed the ball neatly into the Llwydcoed net giving the Bont the deserved lead 2-1

Second half was dominated by Penybont though Llwydcoed still had good spells of pressure but the Penyont defence remained solid. Penybont had found there stride and now had chances to add to their score, discipline was now key. The defence and midfield remained as one and Llwydcoed could not break this down.

Connor Goldsworthy delivered a sweet corner kick which was clinically met by Kristian Evans 3-1 Bont.

Llwydcoed had now become deflated when a misunderstanding by the centre back and goal keeper resulted in an own goal being scored by the visitors.

4-1

Rafal Pacheloc had put in a shift and was replaced with Nathan Godwin.

Penybont continued to dominate the game and continued to be solid, Tom Lillico replaced Connor Goldsworthy and was determined to get on the score sheet when he found himself in front of goal, and scoring the fifth goal of the afternoon for Penybont.

It was a positive performance that will give the team confidence going into their next match.

WELL DONE LADS

Final Score 5-1
