On Saturday, Penybont entertained Undy Athletic at the KYMCO Stadium in Division One of the Nathaniel Car Sales Welsh League.

Penybont opened the scoring in the fifth minute when Cullen Kinsella crossed from the right for the ball to ricochet off Undy's keeper, James Smallcombe, to Marcus Griffiths who scored from close range.

In the 17th minute, Smallcombe pushed out a cross from the left by Kane Owen to Kinsella who swiveled to score from the edge of the box.

In the 23rd minute, a through ball by Kinsella to Griffiths was well-anticipated and saved by Smallcombe.

In the 27th minute a shot by Joe Hopkins found  the right hand corner of the net to increase Penybont's lead.

In the 42nd minute a cross from the left by Owen was met by a firm header by Hopkins but Smallcombe saved again.

HT 3-0

The second half was only two minutes old when Griffiths scored his second from an Owain Warlow pass.

Penybont's scoring finished in the 67th minute when a good passing move by Billy Borge, substitute Harrison Collins and Kinsella ended with Hopkins scoring.

FT 5-0

Penybont: Rhys Wilson, Ioan Emanuel, Kane Owen (Kurt Thornbury 56), Kieran Howard, Tom Atyeo, James Parry, Owain Warlow (Kyran Gardner 47), Cullen Kinsella, Billy Borge, Marcus Griffiths (Harrison Collins 47), Joe Hopkins.

Penybont's reserves were without a game on Saturday, and the third team's cup game at Cefn Cribwr was postponed because of a waterlogged pitch.

On Sunday, Penybont's team in the WPL Development League (South) traveled to Jenner Park to play Barry Town United and returned home having lost 2-0.

Kieran Cotterill (4) and substitute Daniel Omoregie (90) were Barry's scorers.

Penybont's Josh Jones was shown a red card by Cardiff referee, John Nottingham, in the 88th minute, for two yellow cards.

Penybont: Aaron Jones, Ben Symons, Tom Lillico (Connor James 35), Steve Gauci, Elliot Volkaerts (Matt Symons 46), Rhys Jordan, Josh Jones, Kieran Davies, Tom Davies, Rhys Griffiths, Rob Symons (Bleddyn Webster 75). Sub not used: Danny Woolfenden.

Also on Sunday, Penybont entertained Barry Town United at the KYMCO Stadium in the Welsh Women's League.

The match ended 2-1 to the visitors, Ashton Morgan was Penybont's scorer in the first half.
